To get a look at this year's seeding, go to the document center by clicking on "information" above. Then click on Seeding Handouts. On the list of documents under Seeding Handouts, you will see a posting for 2010 seeding.

Team reps left the 2010 seeding meeting with some conflicting dates which will be completely corrected within the week. Basically, the 2010 NVSL calendar is correct. The Divisional Relay Carnivals are July 14. Corrected Officials Clinic Schedules will be forwarded soon.

An opportunity like this doesn't come around often. With over 15,000 swimmers and divers, the NVSL is a great place to advertise. Companies can place an ad on the handbook and/or website and also have a chance to set up at the seeding meeting and both All Star meets. If you know a person or company who would like to advertise with the NVSL, have them contact the NVSL advertising chair, Michele Bergen, at nvsl.advertising@verizon.net.

Mike and Jeanne Merrill, parents of NVSL swimmers, were killed in a car accident on the Fairfax County Parkway Saturday, October 24. According to news reports, their children were with them in the car but were not seriously injured. Heartfelt condolences are extended to their family, friends, theSouth Run pool and community and all NVSL participants who had the honor to work with the Merrills.

Don't forget that there is an area in the document center that is called "NVSL Yard Sale" which is intended for teams to advertise used items they have for sale or items they need. Any NVSL team is welcome to send along an "ad" to appear in this area. If you have an item you would like to sell or an item you would like to buy, please e-mail a description of the item to twochris@aol.com and it will be posted. Items should be limited to equipment owned or needed by swim and/or dive teams. And check it frequently! You never know when something new will appear!
